BCU/ UKCC Coaching Courses

These courses are run by qualified coach trainers and can be done in South Wales or we can come to you if you have a group of 6-12. 

BCU/ UKCC Level 1 Coach Award

The first step onto the coaching ladder, this four day course is run in either a four day block or over two weekends with a gap in the middle for consolidation to let you give your best performance. 

Prerequisites you must hold a current 2 star award and Foundation Safety and Rescue Training course and be a member of Canoe Wales or Canoe England before registering onto this course.

BCU/ UKCC Level 2 Training

The BCU/ UKCC Level 2 Certificate in Paddlesport Coaching award is relevant to potential coaches from all Paddlesport disciplines including coaches who might work with competitive and non-competitive paddlers. The award develops the foundation coaching skills taught at level 1 that will underpin their future coaching behaviours and practice. The training will aim to ensure coaches develop skills that will benefit any paddler irrespective of what type of boat they are paddling.  This training course is run over 4 days and either in a block or over two weekends. 

Prerequisites at the time of registering on the course you need to hold the 2 star award, one 3 star in any discipline,  FSRT
